David's Latin Jazz Band and Lessons

David has studied Jazz with some of the world's finest performers and scholars including Tom McComb, Les Thimmig, Jeff Erickson and Gunther Schuller.  Recently David was the featured performer on a UW-Madison Faculty Concert Series of works by the great Gunther Schuller during his Artist-in-Residency at UW-Madison.

Variants on a Theme of John Lewis
This clip is from a live performance of Gunther Schuller's piece "Variants on a theme of John Lewis." Gunther was the conductor for this concert during his artist-in-residency at the UW in 2005. This work features a solo guitar introduction played by David Chidsey.
